Staenberg – Loup Jewish Community Center in Denver Hosts Multitude of Family Events this Summer
JCC Denver connects with community through family films, concerts, pool parties and more
DENVER, Colo., June 11, 2019 – The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) is hosting several events this summer for kids, families, adults and older adults in the community. Event details and dates are as follows:
Family Film Night: June 18, July 10 and August 15 at 6 p.m.
Join us for an adventurous night of Disney magic with your family and friends! Bring your blankets, sleeping bags––build a fort, if you’d like! We’ll have popcorn and snacks for purchase, or bring your own food. Brought to you by the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. Films are shown in the JCC Phillips Social Hall or JCC Elaine Wolf Theatre. Free for members; free for guests with a JCC guest pass.
Mommy and Me Yoga: June 23, 9 a.m.
This class will let you, the parent or caregiver, enjoy the health benefits of yoga all while bonding with your baby with interactive poses designed specifically for you and your baby. Your baby will benefit, as well! They’ll be able to establish improved sleep habits, plus it is said to help relieve the symptoms of colic and gas in infants. Best for babies 6 weeks to one-year-old. Free for members, $5 for non-members.
Legally Blond The Musical: June 26-30, various times
The Young Artists of Wolf Theatre Academy Present: Legally Blonde The Musical. A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Acting/Stagecraft students from grades 6 – 12 work in collaboration with professional directors and designers to fully produce a well-known theatrical work on the stage of the JCC Elaine Wolf Theatre. Performers and Technical Apprentices will participate in a three-week intensive that culminates in a show run of six performances. $12 per adult, $10 students and seniors
Poolside Playdates: June 23, July 28 and August 11, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join us for snacks, bubbles, chalk and pool time at the outdoor baby pool. Enjoy the sun and hanging with other families while the kids splash around in the pool. Free for members, $18 per family for non-members.
Brunch and Tumble: June 30, July 21 and August 18, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join us for brunch and tumble time! Enjoy mimosas and bagels while connecting with other parents while the little ones entertain themselves on the tumbling equipment. Great for kids crawling – 5-years-old. Free for members, $18 per family for non-members.
Candyland Themed Community Pool Party: July 7, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Join us for a pool party with games and swimming regardless of whether you’re a member of the JCC. All we ask is that you bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, and a big smile. Free to attend.
Family Concert with Andrew & Polly: July 25, 5:30-7 p.m.
JCC Camp Shai hosts Andrew & Polly for a family concert full of fun original songs and classic favorites that are smart, quirky, and full of heart. Andrew & Polly are award-winning music makers and hosts of Ear Snacks kid’s podcast about the world. Food trucks will be available or BYO picnic. Event will be held at Graland Country Day School, 55 Clermont St., Denver, CO, 80220. Tickets in advance: $20 per family of four, $5 each additional family member. $30 at the door per family of four, $5 each additional family member.
Family Concert with Mikey Pauker: August 1, 5:30-7 p.m.
Join us for a soulful family concert with Mikey Pauker. Mikey’s music blends elements of folk, reggae, and hip-hop, incorporating English and Hebrew. Food trucks will be available or BYO picnic.
